Canada), Fairbairn Protocol runs an “open-to-all” Self-defense/ Fairbairn Gutter Fighting Training Program. This program provides weekly one-hour classes, from the first Wednesady of September to mid-June of every year. This course provides detailed instruction in armed and empty-hand strikes, basic throws & take-downs, including all of the strategies, targeting information, and psychologies that drive them. This “One Mind Any Weapon” primary focus of fighting unarmed includes non-firing weapons such as knives and sticks. This is a full-spectrum course. Threat detection, deterrence, avoidance, the predator & win-win mindsets all crucial to controlling the transition from non-violence to violence are also covered.
As an official or unofficial complement to professionals, it can bridge the gap when control & restraint proves inadequate.
